The Ergonomic Gullet Plate System (EGP) is the interchangeable gullet system for our Ideal T&T saddle range.
The gullet plate sits at the head of the saddle and determines its width, so it's the part that does the heavy lifting when it comes to fit. With the EGP system, changing your horse's width doesn't mean changing saddles — simply swap the plate and the same saddle can move with your horse through condition changes, muscle development from correct work, or a new horse altogether.
The ergonomic shape is designed to sit more closely against the horse's back than a traditional plate, reducing pressure points at the gullet and giving a more even contact through the front of the saddle. Combined with a professional fitting, it keeps the saddle balanced and stable through all gaits.
